Petunias are available in numerous colours and shades. The seeds are very tiny. Few varieties are pelleted for easy handling. If your seeds are pelleted, it is necessary to water them deeply during the initial days to remove the coating and expose the seeds.

Petunia Germination is aided by sunlight. So there is no need to cover them deeply which may lead to rotting of seeds.
You can use cocopeat coins to sow your seeds.
A thorough watering once or twice a week is sufficient. It is always wise to check the soil moisture by putting your finger inch deep in the soil and if the soil sticks to your finger, there is no need of watering . Overwatering is more dangerous than underwatering.
The spreading types and those in containers require more frequent watering though.
Fertilize your plants monthly with a nitrogen rich fertilizer or any organic manure.
To ensure good growth. Double-flowered cultivars like a biweekly dose of fertilizer.
